New Westminster resident Paige Munro was born in the Royal City and grew up along the New Westminster-Burnaby border. As a kid, she played for Burnaby Girls Soccer Club and attended Hawkes Martial Arts on E. Columbia St. She went to Cariboo Hill Secondary School in the French Immersion program.
Before university, Paige’s sense of adventure led her to become the youngest Canadian to make the shortlist for the Mars One project. She is also the youngest Canadian female to summit the Matterhorn.
Paige holds a BA from McGill University and a MSc from The University of Edinburgh. Her Master’s thesis focused on Canadian security and foreign policy toward the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.
Paige currently volunteers with a number of New Westminster organizations including Fraserside Community Services Society and the New Westminster May Day Association. She is self-employed as a corporate security risk analyst.
